About BTC Newz

What we cover

BTC Newz reports on Bitcoin and the base layer, crypto markets and the flows that move them, regulation and enforcement, DeFi and protocols, and the business of crypto, including funding, exchanges, treasuries and company profiles. We cover this globally. We report prices, forecasts and on-chain data as attributed, dated news, never as a recommendation to buy or sell.

Every article aims to answer four questions: what happened, why it matters, what evidence supports it, and what is still uncertain. On stories that move prices, we also grade the hype.

What we are, and what we are not

We are an independent publication. We are not an exchange, a token issuer, a fund, a market maker, or an official representative of any project or company we cover. We hold no promotional relationships with the assets we write about, and we take no money from the companies we cover except through clearly labelled advertising. Nothing we publish is financial, investment, legal or security advice.

How we label our reporting

Articles based on information supplied by a company carry a visible "Based on company claims" label. Articles where we have checked the underlying evidence ourselves carry an "Independently verified" label. Paid content is always marked "Sponsored". Our Editorial Standards page explains this in full.

Ownership

BTC Newz is founded, owned, and operated by Yash Malviya. It is an independent publication with no parent company, and it is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any brand, company, or organization it covers. If that ever changes, for example if the publication incorporates or takes on outside investment, we will update this page to say so.
