BTC Newz publishes outside contributors on Bitcoin, crypto markets, regulation and policy, DeFi and protocols, and the business of the industry. Pitches are agreed before a word is written, and every piece goes through the same desk, the same checks and the same standards as our own reporting.

The rules
Every piece follows these. No exceptions for anyone.

Length
800 to 1,500 words for articles. Three paragraphs for an expert quote. Longer only when the reporting needs it.

Original
Written by you and not published elsewhere. A thread you own can be expanded into a piece; a press release or a company blog cannot.

Sourced and dated
Every claim points to a study, a filing, a document or a named person, and every number carries a date. If it cannot be sourced, it comes out.

No promotional intros
No product pitches and no paragraphs about how good your company is. If the piece concerns your own company, say so plainly and we label it as disclosed.

One link, in the bio
One link in your author bio, marked nofollow. Links in the body point to sources only and are chosen by the editor. No paid, exchanged or reciprocal links.

Checks
Every draft is run through plagiarism and AI-detection checks before an editor reads it. Drafts that fail are declined without further discussion.

Editing
We edit for accuracy, structure and house style. You approve the final version. On a fact, the source decides; on style, the editor does.

Turnaround
Pitches we want to pursue get a reply within seven days. Edited drafts come back within ten working days. The publication date is set with you.

No promotion, no predictions
No token, exchange, fund or airdrop is promoted. Price targets and predictions are not analysis and are not published. Referral links are removed.

Disclose holdings and roles
If you hold, advise, are paid by or work for anything named in the piece, say so in the first paragraph. The piece is labelled as disclosed, and the editor decides whether it stays.

Standard contributions are unpaid. Commissioned and sponsored work is a separate, disclosed arrangement, agreed before the pitch is accepted and labelled on the page.

Would rather be quoted than write? Send your credential and the questions you can speak to, with the subject line Expert source · BTC Newz. We come to you when a story needs you.
How it goes
- You pitch. If we want it, we reply within seven days and agree length, deadline, disclosure and your bio link in writing.
- You send the draft. It is checked for sources, plagiarism and AI generation, then edited. You approve the final version.
- It goes live with your author page. We share it across the group and you share it with your byline.

Do you accept guest posts?
Yes. BTC Newz accepts guest posts, expert quotes and columns on Bitcoin, crypto, DeFi, Web3 and regulation, under the rules on this page. We do not sell guest posts, links or link insertions: standard contributions are unpaid, and sponsored content is labelled and handled separately.
Do you pay contributors?
Standard contributions are unpaid. What you get is the author page, the byline and the bio link on a title with real readers. Commissioned and sponsored work is a separate, disclosed arrangement that we discuss before a pitch is accepted.
Can I link to my company or product?
One link in your author bio, marked nofollow. Links inside the article are for sources only and are chosen by the editor.
Do you accept AI-written articles?
No. Every draft is checked for AI generation and plagiarism before an editor reads it, and drafts that fail are declined. Use whatever tools you like for research; the writing, the sources and the judgement have to be yours.
Can I mention a project I hold or work on?
Only with the disclosure in the first paragraph, and never as a recommendation. Pieces that exist to promote a token are declined.
Can I republish my article elsewhere?
Yes, two weeks after it goes live, with a link back to the original here. You keep the copyright.
How long before I hear back?
We reply to pitches we want to pursue within seven days. If you have not heard from us by then, take it as a pass and pitch something else.
